Mind Matters

We are so impressed with Nysha Prasad. Now a senior in high school, Nysha co-founded "Mind Matters" at her school in her junior year. The mission of Mind Matters is "to promote mental health awareness among teens and provide access to affordable mental health resources and services." Their initiatives include workshops, educational programs, and packing and distributing care kits.

When Nysha attended a Connectopod workshop at her local library, she immediately saw tools that she could use to propagate the mission and work of Mind Matters to a larger audience. Connectopod gave Nysha additional training in Descript and loaned a "to-go" microphone kit so that she could conduct interviews with mental health professionals. The resulting podcast, Mind Matters, is a thoughtful, in depth series that gives real solutions to mental health challenges facing teens and young adults. We are always excited when young people take the skills they learn from us to enhance the messages and ideas that they are already passionate about!
